Flight Carbon Emissions API
Every flight's
carbon footprint.
Per-flight CO₂ and fuel-burn estimates using ICAO methodology - origin to destination, by aircraft type and cabin class, in a single call.
What you get
Emissions, by the book
Transparent, ICAO-aligned CO₂ and fuel-burn estimates - origin to destination, broken down by flight phase and passenger.
Origin to destination, by aircraft type - CO₂ for any flight.
One request returns CO₂, fuel burn, and per-passenger figures.
ICAO methodology
Both numbers, one call. Set include_rfi and the response carries the full climate-impact figure alongside the plain CO₂ total.
The IPCC 1.9× factor covers contrails and ozone. Regulatory norms differ on which figure to show — disclose the one you display.
Start free - 1,000 requests/month.
Full access to the emissions endpoint on the free tier.
Everything an emissions estimate needs
Per-flight CO₂
ICAO-standard CO₂ estimates for any origin–destination pair, returned in kilograms alongside the methodology version used to compute them.
Fuel-burn modeling
Fuel burn modeled by aircraft type and flight phase - taxi, climb, cruise, and descent - instead of a single flat per-kilometre average.
Per-passenger breakdown
CO₂ split per passenger and by cabin class, with configurable load factors so per-seat figures reflect how the flight is actually filled.
Great-circle or actual route
Pass a callsign and SkyLink pulls the flight's ADS-B track to compute the real flown distance - vectors, detours, and holds included. Without one, it falls back to great-circle distance.
Integration
Estimate any flight in one call
Pass an origin, destination, and aircraft type - get back CO₂, fuel burn, and per-passenger figures, ready to surface anywhere in your product.
